Cindy de Lange

Teacher - Nido Class (0 - 3 years)

“Hi whanau, my name is Cindy de Lange and I am one of the teachers at the beautiful montessori centre.  I have two young children of my own who have taught me a great deal about love and compassion.  I am originally from South Africa and began my teaching career in New Zealand in 2014.  Over the years I have grown very passionate about children's learning and development, and love that I am able to support children in their first steps of their journey through life.

I am excited to be a part of the montessori team, it is here that I aim to create a respectful, safe space for tamariki where their emotional and developmental needs will be individually nurtured, and children will feel loved and appreciated for who they are.  Our home away from home!”

Camilla Paterson

Camilla Patterson

Teacher - Nido Class (0 - 3 years)

“Hi! My name is Camilla and I am currently undertaking the first year of the Bachelor of teaching - ECE. I have two children of my own, and having them in my life has made me realise my passion for early childhood education.

I am excited for the journey ahead and will support children in fun playful ways to help develop their minds and also help them in being confident in themselves. I have a caring and patient personality and am pretty easy going. I hope not only to teach children but learn from them too. I hope to help children academically and emotionally in their start to Montessori, and feel lucky to be apart of an amazing team.”

Janet Tye

Teacher - Bambini Class (3 - 6 years)

“Hi I’m Janet and I feel extremely privileged to be part of the teaching team at Athenree Montessori, in this stunning location. Initially a Primary trained teacher and mother of four I embarked on Montessori teaching five years ago and completed my Diploma of Montessori Education.

I have always been passionate about education at all levels, experiencing the entire spectrum through my children and advocate that the early years are the most critical for laying down a lifetime love of learning and promote emotional well-being as the most crucial ingredient to help achieve this.

I value and respect parents as first teachers and prioritise building strong positive relationships with parents and Whanau to support the very best opportunities for children. My love of nature and passion for gardening will be extended to the children and I’m excited to be tapping into this rich and natural setting to support holistic hands on learning and working alongside the children to create their own sustainable environment.”
