At Athenree Montessori our parents love our rich sense of community and how our curriculum reflects our philosophy for strong relationships. We absolutely love coming together with our children, family and community to strengthen our relationships with one another.
Transport & Excursions
Our children enjoy walks where they can get out and explore locally, we love to do this on beautiful sunny days. We are very lucky to be situated rurally as we are local to the estuary and two parks that our children love to explore. We love to organise transportation trips where the children can explore their local town such as going to the local library or visiting the local marae.
Portfolios & Storypark
At Athenree Montessori we use a brilliant app called Story Park, which allows families to follow their child’s early learning journey and to ensure you don’t miss out on important centre communications.
Photos and videos capture of your child’s learning, so you never miss a treasured moment again. You and your family can also feel more engaged in your child’s development, and you decide who you would like to invite to experience your child’s learning journey with you. A perfect way to share those special moments with loved ones down the line or overseas.
Children also have hard-copy portfolios. The children enjoy finding their portfolio books and reflecting on their past activities at the centre alongside their kaiako and friends. It is a fantastic way for children to engage in self-recognition and reflect on their personal development, as well as being a treasured keepsake for their 21st Birthday!
